Finishing Planner/Coordinator

Abraham Moon & Sons is looking for an experienced and organised Finishing Planner/Coordinator to manage the smooth running of our finishing department.

Our finishing department needs to be super-efficient and effective, as we rely on the department flowing smoothly with the right materials in the right place, at the right time. The role of Finishing Planner/Coordinator has a key purpose to review the production plans and then coordinate the movement of materials to maintain productivity.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Review the priority report of due dates and fabric status every day.

 

  • Create a daily production plan for each workstation to maximise due date performance.

 

  • Communicate the plan with the team, checking their understanding.

 

  • Interact with the Mertex ( ERP)  system to update piece transactions and extract relevant information for reporting and prioritisation of work.

 

  • Liaise with multiple internal teams to confirm the priorities for the day and give critical updates and feedback.

 

  • Manage the paper and system transactions.

 

  • Support planning of machine downtime e.g. machine servicing time, breakdowns.

 

  • Support the finishing manager with supervisory tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies 

 

  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with all employee groups.

 

  • Excellent Excel skills for data manipulation and report generation.

 

  • Ability to prioritise and manage a demanding work environment.

 

  • Experience is desired within a Finishing / Textile environment.

 

  • Project management skills and previous project management/planning experience is essential for this role.

 

  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an inclusive style.

 

  • You will be proactive with the ability to self-motivate.

Working Hours

39 hours a week working 6:00 am to 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to 14:00 Friday.
