Warehouse Operative

Abraham Moon & Sons are looking for an energetic and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join their distribution team. 

Working in a busy, physically demanding role dealing with all aspects of warehouse work including, picking orders, and dealing with queries, processing incoming and outgoing stock.

Key Responsibilities


  • Handling of all inbound and outgoing goods and materials of the warehouse.


  • Loading and unloading of deliveries.


  • Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of the warehouse.


  • Organising the stocking and proper storage of goods and materials. Coordinating all work functions with co-workers, drivers and other company departments.


  • Maintaining stock count of all warehouse inventories and reporting discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor/senior operative.


  • Abide by all current Health & Safety Regulations, as directed by the company policy.


  • Conducting regular checks and maintenance functions of all the warehouse machinery, such as forklifts etc.


  • Covering for drivers where necessary.


  • Efficiently completing all activities delegated by the warehouse supervisor/senior operative.

Expected Qualities:


  • Full Driving License(desirable but not essential).


  • FLT license (desirable but not essential).


  • Must be punctual and reliable.


  • Have high attention to detail.


  • Be adaptable to help/cover in other departments where necessary.


  • Have good interpersonal abilities.


  • Be able to complete paperwork.


  • Be able to work with a team.


  • Full 5 years of working history as pre-employment checks are required.


  • A DBS check is required.
