Life at The Courtyard
It has been nearly two years since we moved into The Courtyard, our first venture into the world of retail. With the store undergoing a re-design for the new season with some exciting additions, we think it’s about time we formally introduce you to the Abraham Moon shop and the beauty of The Courtyard.
Opened in May 2012, The Courtyard was created from a group of disused traditional barns just off the A65, near Settle in North Yorkshire. The development itself, from initial planning to final construction, was undertaken by a group of local businesses, keen to see the renovation become a hub for luxuriate food, drink and design.
All of the retailers were handpicked from across Yorkshire and the North West to showcase the finest regional craftsmanship, and create a visitor experience far removed from the monotony of the modern high street. Alongside us you can find bespoke handcrafted furniture from Dalesbred, award-winning cheese at The Courtyard Dairy, and the tempting Brasserie restaurant and café.
The latest re-fit of the Abraham Moon shop sees a balance struck between the worlds of fashion and interiors, opening up the space to better convey our full story of design.
You can now order from our full range of furnishing fabrics direct from the store, with our retail manager Carolyn (a professional interior designer herself) happy to help with any enquiries you might have or advice you might need. We have a wide array of men’s and women’s country-style clothing displayed beside our stunning Bronte by Moon accessories, and have recently become an official stockist of Covert accessories; smartphone and tablet cases created using lovely tweed fabrics.
