Behind the Scenes – Elemental Lifestyle Shoot

For our latest lifestyle shoot, the Elemental Collection in Moon Furnishing, we’ve left the safety of the mill and studio far behind to take our latest furniture pieces on a bit of an adventure.

With colourways including Petrol Blue, Jade, and Amethyst, within Elemental our in-house design team have captured the naturally occurring scope of colours seen in precious stones. So for the all important lifestyle photography, we thought why not take the collection back to it’s roots? Or should that read rocks.

With the armchairs, footstools and accessories all packed in tight, resplendent in their new Elemental fabrics, we went straight into the [muddy] deep end at a fully working local quarry.

Our photographer remarked early on (whilst changing into his wellington boots) how this was probably his most unusual location request; the behind the scenes shots below hopefully give you an insight into the terrain and backdrops we were working with.

With the vivid shades of Elemental, the contrast against the somewhat architectural sheer slabs and rock faces was an interesting one. Add in the quirky angular nature of the positioned furniture and the final result is a truly unique set of images for potentially our most uniquely curated range.
